this weekend has been indescribable... apart from managing to make entries from Thursday, Friday and yesterday (everything was in drafts), i am blogging at 3 in the morning with a migraine that panadol cannot cure. a friend suggested that i just hit my head against the wall as hard as i can. i decided to turn off the lights and radio instead and concentrate on my PC.

i love it when people fall inlove... everyone has been falling inlove lately... i have had 5 of my friends hitched this past 6 months... i have two friends who will eventually hook up (one of them being the sender of the quoted text message)... everyone else is in a relationship... and i have a blog buddy who wants to love me (o ano emong should i still quote you?)... lol

i had no intention of eating yesterday. i got home at around 1 pm from sleeping over at Dinah's house (office friend). went to my room and chatted a bit. a few hours later, my parents left for my dad's colonoscopy... the last morsel of food that passed through my lips was the lasagna i had last night with Tariq (my cool friend... see old post). There was nothing in the fridge and i left my keys and my money in Majd's car (a friend who dropped me home) so i couldnt go out and buy myself something to eat... so i resolved to just drinking water and eating a bowl of jelo before taking a nap.

 

my parents arrived a few hours later and they woke me up to eat pizza... when i opened my eyes, i felt the migraine eating parts of my temples and creeping up to my eyes. i knew i had to take some form of pain reliever before i start throwing up, so i went to the living room and saw my my dad's intestine broadcasted on their 42 inch plasma tv. woah! i told myself and thinking aloud i said- sarap nman kumain nyan! but i was hungry and i had to eat because i wanted to drink the pain reliever so i sat with them in silence my eyes averting the vortex of acid and flesh on the big screen infront of me (thanks to technogy)... after i finished a slice, i stood up and went to my room.

 

however, i hope to God that nothing is wrong with my dad's colon and that he only needs exercise.

i dont go out much... i dont date... i dont talk... lol

 

last night, a friend took me out on a date (we went dutch because it is a friendly one... if it wasnt then the guy has to pay for dinner all the way). anyway, food was good and so was the company. i had lasagna and he had some spaghetti. He forced me to talk about music... i didnt want to coz he knew so much about it...

 

anyway, after that we went to this new mall that had Toys R us. I love toys and so did he... then we went to a sports store then we made fun of the guys who had no idea how to use those walkalators... then we listened to music... and planned the rest of the night...

 

overall, the night was fun and i had a great time with a great friend. we went to meet our other friends at the madinat jumeirah where we hung out outdoors, beside the creek, listening to the music from the different bars in the vicinity... the evening made me feel young... that i should go out and do more while i am single than tie myself up at home... it also makes a difference when you have the right company... not just anyone who would give you more problems or suck you out of your energy...

ooh i finished the entire season 2 of how i met your mother... sad...

im not really a pro blogger in the blogging community and none of my blog buddies are pro bloggers, except for one aspiring one (hehe you know who you are)... but i know i have to do my share by posting my top 10 emerging influential blogs of 2007 (based on my opinion)...

 

firstly, i have been blogging since 1998. they didnt call it blogging then... it was more of an online journal whose purpose was to update my friends who migrated to canada about how my life was doing. i had a profile on asianavenue.com (its now blocked in the UAE) and my handle was justcallmerhey. i doubt if my page still exists...  but that was where i first started posting about stuff about life and random things. wasnt seriously on the net much because it was too darn expensive back then. so blogging wasnt much of a 'karir' until around 2004 when i got this page in blogdrive... but before that, i had blogs in blogger, and other ones i dont remember...

 

anyhoo... responsible for this 'thing' going around is this entry by janettoral who runs a pretty high profile kicka$$ site (pardon my language). most of my nominees (i only have 3 as of the moment) are the ones that i know are pretty young blogsites... if we were only allowed to nominate older sites, i would have more pages to nominate...

anyhoo part two- here is my list

 

1. the philosophical bastard- paolo has it all... the wit, the sarcasm, the craziness, the random bouts of serious entries, fiction... and ofcourse, the wide readership. i think that should be a plus plus element when we mention the word influential...

2. alas-filipinas- you have no idea how hard it is to blog in another language but jom actually pulled it off. apart from being one of the very few filipino spanish bloggers out there, he is also part of the skirmisher team which has been around for more than a year now... and yeah this guy is a kick a$$ dad, friend and historian. :)

3. hai.foo- foo is one of my few photo blogger buds... actually he is my only photo blogger bud. i know there are a lot of them out there but most of them are just too high and mighty. and high and mighty is not influential... hahaha lol

 

so... there you have it. i doubt if i will be adding to this list, but i hope one of these blogs win.

i have been tagged by lws and its a long overdue (hehehe) response to her survey so i am doing this now... without any delays... lol

1. i am not a rocker chick. i like random music that can range from earl klugh to red hot chilli peppers to tasmin archer to deep purple to craig david

2. i love earrings and other weird burloloys... nothing gothic like those black bands, but i love those girly looking ones. that's my only kakikayan.

3. i've owned only 3 guitars in my entire lifetime. bought my first guitar (on my 17th bday), the second one was given by my ex bf (brother's friends broke that one), the one i have now is from one of my good friends... before that, the guitars i ever played with were not mine.
4. i dont smoke. dont want to smoke. dont want to try. never tried. dont have anything against people who smoke. but no ' lighted' cigarette will ever touch my lips... which means i can play around with an unlighted one... lol
5. right now, i have 35 skirts hanging in my closet... i dont have any idea how many more are in the laundry...
6. i have a Canon 400d SLR. its a dream come true... i just hope nobody steals it.
7. my band's name is the Zephyrs. *snigger*

like i have stated before, i am suppose to migrate to wordpress in a few weeks... which means goodbye blogdrive?... dunnow. im gonna be testing the waters... foo is helping me out a lot... thanks buddy... but still i can't customize as much as blogdrive... the one thing i appreciate about it is the free hand you have with the CSS scripting... though im not that good, im okay when it comes to that...

im sleepy. Good gowd im so sleepy.
i think i slept around 4 this morning, woke up at 5. left the house at 5:30. gym at 6:10. work at 7:30...

 

if this diet and exercise regimen does not help me lose weight, its going to kill me... but im seriously taking into consideration running the 10k dubai marathon this coming Feb. Right now, i can only run 1.5k without stopping... and finish 5 K stop and go... got a lot of work to do... imagine what an achievement that's going to be if i get to do that...

 

everyone should go over to Paolo's blog to watch his video. im still thinking whether i should take him into my band... but his video is totally out of this world... watch it and you will see what im talking about. dont forget to leave a comment on you tube and do those other things he asked for... i think he deserves to get what he wants after that video... hahahaha

 

speaking of other blogs- emong mentioned that i dont speak tagalog anymore. which isnt true. hindi ko lang maisip ang aking mga iniisip sa tagalog... wala kasing masabi minsan. minsan kulang ang mga panguri na gusto ko gamitin (tama ba yun?)... hindi ko alam kung anung salita ang gagamitin... nauutal ako sa kakatype...

our MD came to my office and saw the pile of work that's ganging up on my desk... he even asked me for something that was in a box and i couldnt think of the right thing. hehehe he pointed at my shoulders (dinutdut nya) and told me that these are things that i should know. blah blah blah... good thing im in such a cheery spirits or i would have said something nasty and lost my job. anyway, i gave him what he wanted and he was off...
